This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Evaluate headcount levels across various regions, markets, service lines, and operational teams.
• Assess workforce capacity and pinpoint areas with overstaffed or understaffed conditions utilizing operational data and business forecasts.
• Assist in workforce planning efforts, which encompass hiring strategies, redeployments, workforce reductions, and organizational expansion.
• Maintain ongoing headcount forecasts and workforce planning assumptions.
• Analyze labor utilization and offer insights regarding hiring versus overtime to enhance workforce efficiency and manage costs.
• Review subcontractor usage and suggest improvements for better labor allocation.
• Monitor and evaluate labor-related expenses, including direct labor, overtime, subcontractors, Travel & Entertainment (T&E), fleet costs, as well as equipment and safety gear.
• Collaborate with Finance to ensure that labor plans are in harmony with budgets, forecasts, and operational goals.
• Assist in scenario modeling to assess the financial and operational consequences of staffing modifications.
• Track labor cost trends and pinpoint opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency.
• Aid in workforce-related asset planning, including vehicles, tools, equipment, safety gear, and IT resources.
• Work with Fleet and Operations to guarantee availability of assets for new hires, transfers, and organizational changes.
• Identify shortages or timing issues related to assets that may affect operational performance.
• Help in planning fleet and equipment needs based on anticipated workforce requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations leaders to comprehend staffing needs and workforce challenges.
• Work with Finance to synchronize labor planning with financial forecasts.
• Liaise closely with Human Resources on hiring strategies, workforce transitions, and organizational updates.
• Coordinate with Fleet to ensure alignment between labor and asset planning.
• Assist in communicating workforce planning updates across various departments.
• Create and maintain workforce planning reports, dashboards, and labor analytics.
• Conduct plan-versus-actual assessments for headcount and labor expenses.
• Ensure the accuracy of workforce data across business systems.
• Document workforce planning procedures and suggest enhancements for increased efficiency and scalability.
• Provide support for ad hoc workforce, labor, and operational analyses as needed.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 0–3 years of experience in workforce planning, business analytics, operations, finance, human resources, or a similar analytical position (including internships).
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving capabilities.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, encompassing Pivot Tables, formulas, charts, and data analysis.
• Keen attention to detail coupled with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
