Head of WordPress Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Client Engagement: Act as the main technical point of contact, collecting intricate requirements and ensuring coherence between client expectations and technical execution.

• Project Coordination: Guide cross-functional teams to successfully deliver high-performance web projects, overseeing resources, timelines, and quality benchmarks.

• Technical Architecture: Offer expert advice on systems architecture, scalability, and integration strategies for both backend and frontend in financial platforms.

• Workflow Optimization: Enhance development workflows, which include deployment (CI/CD), version control (Git), and automated testing procedures.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough evaluations of deliverables (design, performance, and security) to guarantee compliance with global best practices.

• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Encourage development team growth through organized code reviews, effective documentation, and shared knowledge.

• Technical Troubleshooting: Provide practical support for addressing high-level technical issues across various projects.

• Strategic Planning: Convert business and design needs into detailed technical roadmaps in partnership with Product Managers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 6–8 years in WordPress development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

• Project History: Demonstrated success in managing complex, client-facing WordPress projects from initial discovery to deployment.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, performance enhancement, and custom plugin/theme creation.

• Engineering Standards: Extensive experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and managing environments from staging to production.

• Stakeholder Management: Exceptional skill in conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical clients globally.

• Language: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia (both written and spoken) is essential.

• Leadership: A strong enthusiasm for mentoring and fostering consistent engineering practices to reduce technical debt.

• Location: Residing in Indonesia, with the option for remote work and occasional travel for meetings.
