Head of Talent Acquisition

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and cultivate a team of 8-10 Talent Acquisition Business Partners (TABPs) across various countries and time zones.

• Establish clear priorities, allocate workloads, and set performance expectations.

• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, team discussions, and performance evaluations.

• Empower the team to collaborate effectively across different divisions, recognizing the unique needs and contexts of each stakeholder group.

• Assess development needs and create opportunities for growth within the team.

• Promote a collaborative, high-trust team culture that balances accountability with support.

• Manage a personal requisition load while fulfilling team leadership responsibilities.

• Ensure the team oversees the complete recruiting lifecycle: from intakes and candidate management to sourcing, assessment, offers, and onboarding handover.

• Maintain quality standards throughout all stages, including job intakes, candidate shortlists, and structured interviews.

• Serve as an escalation point for complex or sensitive hiring scenarios.

• Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and proactively resolve bottlenecks in the recruitment pipeline.

• Cultivate strong, trusted relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders across various divisions.

• Grasp the unique hiring needs, business context, and culture of each division, translating that into clear guidance for the team.

• Act as the primary point of contact for divisional stakeholders, ensuring they feel well-supported by a centralized Talent Acquisition function.

• Promote hiring manager enablement: set expectations, share market insights, and assist in informed decision-making throughout the hiring process.

• Represent Talent Acquisition credibly in discussions with senior stakeholders.

• Ensure consistent application of Talent Acquisition methodologies and standards across all divisions.

• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of group-wide Talent Acquisition frameworks and best practices within the Center of Excellence (CoE).

• Share knowledge, tools, and process improvements across the CoE.

• Support the broader HR CoE by linking Talent Acquisition to workforce planning and people strategy.

• Own and perpetually refine Talent Acquisition processes, workflows, and working methods.

• Administer and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) TeamTailor, including workflows, templates, and reporting.

• Ensure precise and timely data capture across the team for reporting and analytics.

• Identify and implement efficiency enhancements throughout the recruitment funnel.

• Monitor and report on key Talent Acquisition metrics.

• Provide regular updates to HR leadership and relevant business stakeholders.

• Leverage data to inform team priorities and pinpoint areas for improvement.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven end-to-end in-house recruiting experience, ideally in a high-volume, multi-country context.

• Comfortable managing roles across a variety of functions and seniority levels.

• Strong sourcing skills and understanding of effective candidate attraction strategies.

• Experience with structured interviewing and assessment design.

• Familiarity with ATS platforms; experience with TeamTailor is advantageous.

• Experience leading a Talent Acquisition team, either formally or in a senior individual contributor role with mentoring responsibilities.

• Capable of effectively managing a distributed, remote team across diverse cultures and time zones.

• Comfortable providing direct feedback and maintaining high standards while being supportive of the team.

• Brings energy and organization to a team operating at a fast pace.

• Demonstrated ability to build credible relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders.

• Capable of constructively challenging, managing expectations, and influencing without formal authority.

• Clear and confident communicator in both written and verbal contexts.

• Highly organized and adept at managing complexity across multiple brands, entities, and stakeholders simultaneously.

• Genuinely adaptable: able to shift focus and modify approach to meet the varying needs and rhythms of each division.

• Data-driven: utilizes metrics for prioritization, reporting, and improvement.

• Pragmatic and solution-oriented; finds ways to advance initiatives without waiting for ideal circumstances.

• Experience in technology, SaaS, or digital-first organizations is preferred.
