This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning, while contributing to the development of fundraising strategies.
• Collaborate with the CFO and Investor Relations to prepare materials for fundraising, investor relations, and board reporting. Work alongside senior leadership to assess key business initiatives.
• Direct and conduct financial analyses for various strategic decisions, including the Annual Operating Plan, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, capital market transactions, and fundraising opportunities.
• Offer recommendations to executive management based on the financial and strategic implications of investment decisions. Identify business drivers and risks, presenting them to the Executive Team.
• Develop detailed ad-hoc analyses (scenario modeling, sensitivity analyses, and contingency planning) to aid in internal investment decision-making and fundraising initiatives.
• Oversee the long-term planning process with an emphasis on operational and financial benchmarking, coordinating efforts with the FP&A team.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in Strategic Finance, demonstrating a successful track record of building and scaling finance teams in high-growth settings.
• Experience within a SaaS or comparable technology organization, along with an understanding of AI/ML market dynamics, pricing strategies, and enterprise sales cycles.
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise-level financial planning systems and proficiency in data visualization tools. Proven ability to implement finance governance frameworks and controls in a rapidly scaling environment.
• Exceptional skills in Excel and financial modeling, including experience with M&A, capital markets, valuation, and fundraising modeling. Familiarity with investor relations and capital raising activities.
• Strong executive-level presentation and communication skills. Proven experience in building relationships with cross-functional partners, fostering trust throughout the organization while mentoring team members.
• Demonstrated success in translating complex financial concepts into actionable business insights for non-financial stakeholders.
