• Engage in sales activities. This role combines both player and coach responsibilities, with a significant portion of your time dedicated to face-to-face customer interactions to close deals.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-achieving sales team.
• Collaborate with marketing to enhance event participation, generate leads, and build top-of-funnel pipeline.
• Utilize AI technologies to enhance outreach, communication, and pipeline management.
• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key government stakeholders, including agencies, elected officials, regulators, and associations.
• Create data-driven forecasts and communicate pipeline health and insights to leadership.
• Improve deal desk processes, sales qualification, and workflows as the organization grows.
• Proven experience in government sales with a history of closing SaaS-based contracts with state, city, or county agencies.
• A successful track record of closing deals ranging from $1M to $15M+ ARR with government entities.
• In-depth understanding of government procurement processes.
• Experienced leader and recruiter capable of attracting and developing top-notch sales talent.
• Highly data-oriented, with a focus on accountability and measurable results.
• Willingness to travel frequently and manage a calendar filled with events.
• Prepared to work with and optimize AI-powered tools for outreach and communication.
• Sufficient experience to operate autonomously, yet driven enough to maintain a passion for selling.
