Head of SEO – Freelance, Permanent Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Define and spearhead the global SEO strategy encompassing Technical, On-page, and Off-page SEO in alignment with the 2026 business objectives.

• Execute comprehensive audits focused on Core Web Vitals, crawlability, and indexing.

• Collaborate closely with developers to establish a robust technical framework.

• Supervise Topical Authority mapping and Search Intent clusters.

• Create content strategies driven by EEAT principles.

• Implement AI-supported workflows for content briefing, data analysis, and internal linking while adhering to Helpful Content standards.

• Manage the SEO budget effectively.

• Deliver C-level reports detailing Organic ROI, Share of Voice, and conversion attribution.

• Oversee and guide content writers or external agencies.

• Ensure the production of high-quality, SEO-optimized content.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in SEO.

• Proven success in scaling high-authority domains in SaaS, E-commerce, or Media sectors.

• Expert-level proficiency in Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/Semrush, and Search Console Insights.

• A product-oriented mindset that approaches SEO as a product rather than merely a marketing channel.

• Awareness of the relationship between user experience (UX) and SEO.

• Strong business acumen with a focus on revenue and lifetime value (LTV), not just rankings.

• Application must include a case study demonstrating a site scaled from $X$ to $Y$ in organic revenue.

• Application must feature a brief outline of the initial 30 days' audit process for a new domain.

• Application must include a preferred technology stack for 2026 SEO.
