Head of Policy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the organization’s interactions with Congress, the Executive Branch, U.S. regulatory bodies, and other key policy influencers.

• Cultivate reliable relationships with policymakers and their teams while promoting thoughtful, business-focused policy solutions.

• Formulate the company's stance on legislative, regulatory, appropriations, and public policy matters.

• Anticipate policy changes and convert intricate legislative and regulatory developments into actionable business strategies and executive recommendations.

• Represent Chainalysis in discussions with policymakers and their teams, industry coalitions, regulatory consultations, and conferences.

• Equip executive leadership for engagements with high-level government officials through strategic briefing materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in U.S. government policy programs within dynamic environments.

• Significant experience in emerging technologies, financial services, or national security policy.

• A strong understanding of the operations of Congress and the Executive Branch.

• A proven history of successfully driving policy initiatives that yield enterprise-wide outcomes.

• Demonstrated capability to collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.

• Experience in developing actionable plans with quantifiable results from overarching strategic objectives.

• A strategic mindset complemented by keen political instincts.

• Familiarity with working alongside lobbyists, trade associations, and coalition strategies.

• An understanding of and enthusiasm for digital assets.

• Strong judgment and the ability to operate independently while receiving leadership guidance.

• Outstanding communication, writing, and analytical abilities.
