This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Develop and manage the People operating model, encompassing intake, ownership, escalation pathways, documentation standards, decision-making rights, and service expectations.
• Spearhead the integration efforts between legacy Better Impact and Galaxy Digital teams from a people perspective.
• Foster enhanced hiring practices, including workforce planning, role definitions, and the procedures for initiating critical roles.
• Supervise payroll, benefits, HRIS, onboarding, offboarding, and the accuracy of employee data.
• Establish reliable and effective processes for employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, investigations, feedback, and documentation.
• Support managers in becoming more effective first-line people leaders by providing clearer expectations and improved tools.
• Develop compensation administration and governance practices, including benchmarking inputs, role levels, review processes, and decision-making rules.
• Ensure that People practices are compliant with jurisdictional requirements across Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia.
• Specify People requirements for HRIS, payroll, data migration, access, privacy, and system optimization.
• Create a consistent rhythm for employee engagement, culture integration, internal communication, and monitoring retention risks.
• Collaborate with external employment counsel, payroll, benefits, HRIS, EOR/PEO, and recruiting vendors when specialized support is necessary.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in People, HR, or People Operations.
• 3+ years in a senior full-function People leadership position, such as Head of People, Senior Director of People, VP of People, or similar roles.
• Proven experience in building or revamping People operations in organizations with 75–250 employees, particularly within SaaS, software, B2B technology, or similarly complex sectors.
• Direct experience in employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, investigations, and managing employment-related risks.
• Familiarity with operating across multiple employment jurisdictions, coupled with the discernment to decide when to engage outside counsel, vendors, or to utilize internal processes.
• Hands-on experience managing HRIS and payroll vendors, including troubleshooting, process enhancement, vendor oversight, and system optimization.
• Experience in constructing hiring, onboarding, offboarding, performance management, compensation governance, or manager enablement processes from scratch or from a nascent state.
• Ability to advise senior leaders transparently, even in challenging situations.
• Proven track record of handling employee matters with sound judgment, ensuring company protection while maintaining dignity for individuals.
• Skill in articulating decisions, expectations, and trade-offs clearly.
• Experience in documenting People decisions and processes with the necessary operational rigor.
