This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Take ownership of and develop the People function across various areas, including operations and infrastructure, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and culture.
• Lead talent acquisition initiatives by collaborating with hiring managers to define roles and analyze data for future recruitment strategies.
• Create management practices that guarantee effective performance evaluations and professional development opportunities.
• Oversee compensation structures and ensure adherence to compliance across different jurisdictions.
• Promote a positive and inclusive workplace through team events and feedback initiatives.
• Serve as a People partner to address inquiries with empathy and efficiency, providing guidance on sensitive personnel issues.
• Recruit, develop, and lead the People team as it expands.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HR or People, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within a People team or a significant sub-function.
• Proven success in filling challenging positions with top talent through full-cycle recruiting, ideally in technical roles. Experience employing innovative strategies for sourcing and building an employer brand.
• Demonstrated experience in scaling a people function amidst significant headcount growth, with the organization doubling year-on-year.
• Practical experience in owning or significantly developing at least three of the following: HRIS implementation, performance management systems, compensation frameworks, hiring infrastructure, or international employment via EOR.
• An operator mindset, comfortable creating systems, processes, and teams. Preference for straightforward solutions over complex processes. Ability to navigate ambiguity and independently manage the people function.
• Strong judgment in handling sensitive personnel matters, with a tendency towards direct, candid, and respectful communication.
• A natural relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of establishing trust and collaborating effectively with candidates and internal stakeholders. Ability to craft thoughtful and persuasive messages that compellingly communicate FAR.AI’s mission and opportunities.
