This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate with the President and executive team on organizational structure, leadership efficiency, talent quality, succession planning, performance management, and cross-departmental collaboration.
• Establish and uphold Bizee’s talent standards through hiring guidelines, role scorecards, interview calibration, decision-making rules, and leadership alignment.
• Create a scalable hiring framework that encompasses workforce planning, role definitions, scorecards, interview processes, calibration, decision frameworks, and candidate experience.
• Develop Bizee’s People Operating System, incorporating processes, mechanisms, and rituals that promote alignment, accountability, and performance.
• Enhance the managerial tier through enablement, feedback systems, performance routines, and leadership expectations.
• Design and manage the performance cycle, which includes goal setting, performance ratings, calibration, and connections to compensation and promotion decisions.
• Provide guidance on role clarity, job leveling, compensation philosophy, incentive design, spans of control, organizational layers, and capability planning.
• Create onboarding processes, engagement strategies, and internal communication systems.
• Spearhead change management for platform upgrades, modifications to the operating model, AI-driven workflows, and distributed teams.
• Facilitate the transition of the workforce from full co-employment (PEO) arrangements across multiple countries by developing HRIS, payroll, benefits, and compliance infrastructure for direct employment.
• Oversee multi-state wage and hour compliance and workforce administration for nearly all 50 U.S. states for both exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Lead and unify international teams across various countries while sustaining a unified company culture and operational standards.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in People, Talent, HR Business Partner (HRBP), Organizational Effectiveness, or People Operations leadership roles.
• Proven experience in constructing People systems from the ground up, preferably in a high-growth, profitable, founder-led, private equity-backed, SaaS, platform, marketplace, or tech-enabled services environment.
• Strong executive judgment with the capability to function as a strategic partner to a President and executive team.
• Familiarity with hiring systems, talent calibration, performance management, manager enablement, organizational design, job leveling, compensation frameworks, and People Operations infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of talent density, quality of hire, leadership standards, and characteristics of high-performance organizations.
• Demonstrated experience managing a multi-state U.S. workforce, ideally across 40+ states, including both exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Knowledge of state-specific wage and hour variations and the ability to operationalize compliance.
• Experience in leading or collaborating with teams across multiple countries while integrating culture, standards, and management practices across borders.
• Direct experience in transitioning a workforce from a co-employment/PEO model, including the establishment of payroll, benefits, and statutory compliance infrastructure, as well as managing the change process.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Capability to operate both strategically and hands-on amidst ambiguity and rapid growth.
• Must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
