Head of Payroll Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance payroll implementation procedures and continuously refine them to maintain compliance and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Modify payroll processes to accommodate growth, achieving established efficiency goals without compromising compliance and customer experience.

• Identify errors in Payroll runs, promptly address customer issues, and develop long-term solutions to prevent future errors through product and process enhancements.

• Take responsibility for delivering accurate, compliant, and timely payroll runs for all Seso customers.

• Provide payroll and tax advice in a customer-facing role, assisting with successful onboarding and building prospect confidence in adopting Seso.

• Collaborate with Seso’s Product team to ensure our software platform is built in compliance and to continuously enhance the customer experience.

• Recruit, train, and oversee the Payroll operations team, including Payroll Implementation Managers, Payroll Clerks, and Payroll Support, all of whom will report directly to you.

• Ultimately accountable for the accuracy and compliance of our payroll services for customers.

• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

• Over 5 years of experience in payroll operations, with a strong emphasis on developing and scaling effective processes.

• Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams.

• Comprehensive understanding of payroll and compliance processes, policies, and best practices.

• Capability to effectively troubleshoot while driving operational efficiency and scaling services.

• Proficient in interfacing with end customers to resolve issues as they occur.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Experience in working with payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
