This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Evaluate the existing payment configuration and Acceptance Rate performance, pinpointing critical issues and potential quick wins.
• Develop and expand a multi-PSP infrastructure: including routing, orchestration, cascading, and onboarding of new service providers.
• Take ownership of payment strategy metrics such as success rate, renewal rate, and recovery rate, along with billing logic involving retry, dunning, and renewal processes.
• Oversee processing expenses and PSP negotiations, managing payment margins as part of unit economics.
• Track risk metrics, including chargeback rates and fraud, while increasing transaction volume.
• Lead and enhance the payments team.
• A minimum of 3 years of core payments experience (adjacent experience is beneficial but not a substitute).
• Background in subscription-based businesses - B2C, mobile/web subscriptions.
• Experience collaborating with Tier-1 PSPs such as Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, and Checkout.com.
• Proficient in multi-PSP orchestration, routing, and cascading.
• Familiarity with US and European markets.
• Relevant experience managing a scale of 3-5M+ transactions per month.
• English proficiency: Upper-Intermediate (B2+).
• Management experience is advantageous but not mandatory; strong Senior-level candidates ready to transition into a lead or head role are encouraged to apply.
• An opportunity to establish the payments function in a newly created role, not a replacement, reporting directly to the CEO without any CFO or CPO in between.
• A clear and measurable objective from the outset: to enhance the Acceptance Rate from its current ~85% to a target of 92-94% within 6 months.
• Responsibility for the multi-PSP infrastructure, routing, orchestration, and cascading, rather than merely maintaining an existing setup.
• Close collaboration across functions with engineering, analytics, legal/compliance, and finance.
• Potential to expand the payments team beyond the current size of 3 members.
• Fully remote, flexible working arrangements with core synchronization hours from 10:00 to 18:00 Kyiv time.
• 14 days of vacation, unlimited sick leave, and a learning budget.
