Head of Marketing – Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure that social media content accurately reflects production capabilities and upcoming milestones.

• Take ownership of the connection between production updates and public disclosures, ensuring that nothing is overlooked.

• Directly liaise with clients regarding material approvals and intellectual property permissions.

• Uphold a strict policy against publishing any content that has not been properly cleared.

• Keep the sales team updated and ensure that marketing actively supports visibility into production capacity.

• Design and implement AI-driven workflows using tools such as n8n, Make, or similar solutions.

• Automate the repurposing of content across various platforms, including podcasts, social media, email, and blogs.

• Create dashboards that provide leadership with real-time visibility without the need for manual reporting.

• Automate the handoff process from production to marketing and track client approvals.

• Systematically identify and eliminate manual processes within the marketing function.

• Establish clear priorities, manage tight delivery schedules, and hold the team accountable.

• Deliver weekly reports to the founder that are concise, clear, and data-driven.

• Oversee contractors, agencies, and external vendors.

• Manage the website, brand assets, presentations, client materials, and merchandise.

• Coordinate community management in collaboration with community leads.

• Facilitate onboarding processes for new team members and contractors.

• Maintain editorial quality and ensure brand consistency.

• Oversee the guest pipeline and production schedule.

• Ensure that podcast content is effectively amplified across other channels.

• Keep the tone and positioning consistent with what makes Speakeasy a valuable listen.

• Adapt brand positioning in line with the growth of the business.

• Maintain quality standards across all external-facing communications.

• Support conference attendance, merchandise, and partnership materials.

• Provide strategic insights on how marketing can drive significant business impact.


⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in marketing, with substantial time spent in leadership roles.

• Proven experience working closely with founders or senior leadership as a true business partner.

• Strong brand intuition, with an understanding of what aligns with the brand, what does not, and the reasons behind it.

• Highly organized and focused on delivery without being overly bureaucratic.

• Comfortable communicating directly with your team, clients, and leadership.

• Extensive hands-on experience with AI and automation tools (n8n is preferred).

• Strong understanding of analytics, dashboard creation, and performance reporting.

• Experience managing paid advertising channels (Google, Meta, LinkedIn) and basic SEO knowledge.

• Demonstrated success in managing external contractors and agencies.

• **Nice to Have:**

• Background in game development, art production, or the broader creative industry.

• Experience with B2B marketplaces or talent platforms.

• Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, GetResponse, or similar).
