Head of Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary legal advisor to the CEO and executive team, concentrating on the support of the commercial organization.

• Serve as a strategic partner and chief negotiator for intricate enterprise agreements alongside sales, customer success, and finance teams.

• Collaborate with the CFO and commercial leaders on pricing and packaging strategies for complex SaaS contracts.

• Attend board meetings and provide counsel to the Board of Directors and its committees as required.

• Offer guidance on corporate governance, legal documentation, and compliance initiatives, including HITRUST and SOC 2.

• Lead and nurture a small, proactive legal and compliance team.

• Leverage AI technologies to enhance the efficiency of legal and contracting tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience as Head of Legal or in a similar senior in-house legal position.

• Extensive experience in commercial and enterprise contracting, particularly with complex deals in a regulated environment.

• A hands-on approach to execution and the ability to operate independently without a large team.

• Proven strategic problem-solving skills in real-world business scenarios.

• Business-oriented judgment that balances legal risks with commercial objectives.

• Comfort and enthusiasm for utilizing AI tools such as Claude.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Current license to practice law.

• Must be eligible for employment in the U.S. and reside and work within the continental U.S.

• Required experience with contract lifecycle management and e-signature platforms like LinkSquares, DocuSign, and Salesforce.
