Head of Legal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Direct legal operations, ensuring that client and vendor contracting procedures are in harmony with business strategy and legal standards.

• Comprehend the GenAI regulatory landscape and negotiate intricate contracts.

• Oversee client contracts, which include Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and Terms & Conditions.

• Manage agreements with AI technology vendors.

• Create and sustain legal documentation, such as Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and Privacy Policies.

• Collaborate with client legal teams regarding compliance and safety protocols.

• Generate thought leadership materials and engage in related speaking opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• JD, LLB, or an equivalent legal degree, along with active membership in good standing of at least one state bar.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial or corporate attorney, particularly within the AI sector.

• Demonstrated experience in negotiating complex contracts with clients and technology vendors.

• Proficient in managing contracts with deal values reaching 8 figures for enterprise-scale clients.

• Extensive knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and intellectual property law.

• Exceptional ability to communicate intricate legal concepts clearly to a variety of stakeholders.

• Previous experience in drafting industry whitepapers or participating in speaking engagements is highly preferred.
