This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Formulate and implement a robust investor relations strategy, encompassing investor presentations and roadshows. Create, enhance, and deliver investor materials and presentations that effectively communicate the company’s strategy and performance.
• Oversee the development and refinement of financial and valuation models, benchmarking analyses, and peer/industry assessments to guide messaging and strategic direction.
• Establish and nurture relationships with current and prospective investors across institutional, strategic, and financial sectors, including top venture, growth, and public equity investors.
• Act as the primary daily contact for high-priority investors, providing direct insights to the executive team based on those discussions.
• Assist executives in fundraising efforts, which include preparation, investor communications, and relationship management.
• Collaborate with the finance team to translate complex metrics into clear, impactful narratives for investors. Work with leaders across the organization to generate key business insights and convey performance drivers to stakeholders.
• Create a solid framework for quarterly reporting, which includes managing workstreams, financial and valuation modeling, and preparing materials for remarks, Q&A, and investor communications.
• Track competitor funding, public market trends, and dynamics within the AI industry to refine Cohere’s positioning.
• Act as a strategic thought partner in investor relations, providing insights and updates to both internal and external audiences.
• Establish the groundwork for regulatory compliance, workstream management, complex financial and valuation modeling, and crafting materials for public market messaging.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role in investor relations, investment banking, corporate finance, or strategic finance within a high-growth tech company (preferably in AI/ML or enterprise software).
• Exceptional financial modeling capabilities and a strong aptitude for storytelling.
• Demonstrated success in engaging with venture capital and public equity markets.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills suitable for executive-level interactions.
