This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Lead a dedicated sales team focused on enhancing customer choice, utilization, and purchasing of our Informatics products.
• Mentor, support, develop, and inspire your team to surpass their targets while effectively collaborating with the broader sales team and various internal stakeholders.
• Ensure precise reporting of pipeline, opportunities, and forecasts.
• Prepare and present relevant sales performance metrics as required.
• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key customers, academic institutions, thought leaders, and KOLs.
• Represent Illumina at pertinent industry events and conferences to promote awareness of Illumina’s Informatics portfolio and discover new business opportunities.
• Provide Voice of Customer insights and feedback to development teams, diverse marketing teams, and others as necessary.
• Analyze the competitive landscape and customer requirements to refine value propositions and influence roadmaps and pricing strategies.
• Develop and implement Commercial Informatics Sales strategies in partnership with key internal stakeholders.
• Generally requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry; a Master's or PhD is strongly preferred.
• Typically necessitates 18+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in Software in Genomics, Healthcare, or Life Sciences, with at least 10+ years in sales management; 14+ years of relevant experience with a Master's, 8+ years in sales management; or 12+ years with a PhD, 6+ years in sales management.
• Must reside near a major airport and be willing to travel up to approximately 40% of the time.
