This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Construct the architecture for evidence and trust.
• Oversee thorough evaluations and external validations.
• Develop systems for impact intelligence and ensure data quality.
• Transform evidence into insights for learning, fundraising, and thought leadership.
• Direct and advance the Impact Team.
• Over 10 years of pertinent experience in impact evaluation, applied research, economics, workforce development, educational outcomes, labor market analytics, social impact strategy, data science, or a related discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of rigorous impact methodologies, including RCTs, quasi-experimental techniques, causal inference, longitudinal studies, tracer studies, sampling, survey design, mixed-methods research, and evaluation design.
• Proven experience in designing, managing, commissioning, or collaborating on external evaluations with academic researchers, research organizations, foundations, multilaterals, or independent evaluators.
• Strong grasp of education-to-employment pathways, workforce development, economic mobility, youth employment, entrepreneurship, income enhancement, household results, or labor market transitions.
• Proficient data fluency, including comfort with dashboards, data pipelines, data warehouses, CRM systems, survey platforms, product analytics, and data quality processes.
• Capability to convey complex research and methodologies into clear, credible materials for donors, boards, executives, governments, employers, and public audiences.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, data, engineering, operations, learning, fundraising, communications, and senior leadership teams.
• Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft methodology notes, donor briefs, board materials, impact reports, white papers, and thought leadership content.
• Excellent judgment regarding evidence quality, including determining when to apply gold-standard evaluation methods, opting for quicker pragmatic approaches, and effectively communicating uncertainty or limitations.
• Demonstrated capability to lead teams, establish systems, manage ambiguity, and function effectively in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings.
• Strong ethical principles surrounding data privacy, consent, responsible AI, equity, transparency, and the risks associated with overstating impact.
• A proactive approach to action, coupled with the discipline to develop systems that are credible, auditable, and trustworthy.
• This position necessitates strong self-management, proactive communication, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed, cross-functional environment.
• The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across teams and time zones, utilizing digital collaboration tools, and maintaining momentum in a remote-first setting.
