β’ Develop the strategic approach for all facets of growth marketing, including paid media, demand generation, marketing technology, lifecycle management, website optimization, and SEO/GEO.
β’ Consider the entire customer journey across channels; our efforts continue beyond customer acquisition as we focus on activation and monetization (with ongoing product launches).
β’ Recruit, manage, and nurture a team of marketers and agencies, inheriting a skilled team of 11 professionals.
β’ Foster a team environment characterized by relentless execution, experimentation, and curiosity, encouraging initiatives from testing new ad creatives to exploring innovative technologies.
β’ Maintain a strong data-driven approach, excelling in defining, establishing, and reporting on full-funnel KPIs in collaboration with the data science team.
β’ Cultivate robust relationships with sales, partnerships, and product/engineering teams to align on growth strategies throughout the organization.
β’ Serve as a key voice in marketing leadership, balancing the achievement of growth objectives with brand integrity and customer-centricity.
β’ Make informed, principled decisions and guide cross-functional teams to implement strategies effectively.
β’ Over 10 years of experience in growth marketing, including a minimum of 5 years in hiring and developing talent.
β’ Experience in Product-Led Growth (PLG): You have worked at startups of Mercury's scale or larger, with exposure to high-volume PLG/self-service acquisition; experience in demand generation or sales-led acquisition is a plus.
β’ Comprehensive knowledge across all growth marketing domains, with in-depth expertise in paid media, SEO, and marketing technology.
β’ Familiarity with a wide range of marketing tools: You know which tools to leverage and how to maximize their useβor can quickly learn. You are enthusiastic about exploring new tools to enhance the team's capabilities. Current tools include: CustomerIO, Salesforce, Dato (CMS), Rockerbox (MTA), Segment.
β’ A mindset geared towards experimentation. You recognize the value of testing and scaling successful initiatives, prioritizing tests, and finding efficient ways to implement them.
