This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• In the role of Director of Strategic Growth – Defense Services, you will spearhead initiatives for strategic growth, capture, and the expansion of knowledge-based services.
• Formulate and implement growth strategies tailored for key US Army accounts.
• Identify, assess, and influence new opportunities across DoW mission areas that align with Edge Case’s strengths.
• Create account plans, relationship maps, call plans, and opportunity strategies targeting specific customers.
• Foster collaborative relationships that enhance technical solutions, improve proposal outcomes, and provide customer value.
• Establish and oversee a structured capture pipeline informed by quantitative research, market intelligence, federal databases, and industry trends aligned with measurable growth objectives.
• Evaluate PWS/SOW/RFP requirements to discern key drivers, evaluation priorities, discriminators, and competitive positioning.
• Perform competitive intelligence assessments, scorecard analyses, pricing insights, and opportunity qualification to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Assist with the execution of NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and partner coordination with support from the Contracts team.
• Cultivate and sustain strategic teaming relationships with prime contractors, subcontractors, technology partners, and holders of contract vehicles.
• Articulate Edge Case’s capabilities into clear mission value for US Army acquirers.
• Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
• 12-15+ years of relevant and progressive experience in federal business development, capture management, or leadership roles within the DoD/DoW, with a recent focus on the US Army Acquisition community preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience and a proven track record in creating impactful BD strategies, roadmaps, and pipelines that led to substantial business growth for organizations like Edge Case, particularly in addressing complex global challenges in critical mission areas.
• At least 3 years of experience working alongside executives to prioritize resources, manage budgets, and make informed go/no-go decisions on gated pursuits, resulting in notable organic growth.
• Demonstrated success in capture and BD performance in high-end government engineering services (A&AS and SETA) supporting missions of global significance, including rapid acquisition, mission and systems engineering, safety engineering, autonomous systems, advanced weapon systems, and software development.
• Extensive background in portfolio development, propelling growth within government services through innovative solutions tailored to complex mission needs.
• Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite for employment.
