Head of Frontend Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the frontend organization, which includes engineering and UI/design teams, comprising approximately 70+ engineers.

• Enhance team scalability by utilizing Team Leads and cultivating engineering leaders.

• Foster and advance engineering culture, standards, and best practices.

• Design and refine development and delivery methodologies.

• Guarantee the quality, stability, and predictability of product delivery.

• Engage in architectural decisions, including the microfrontend approach.

• Manage technical debt while enhancing system sustainability.

• Spearhead the recruitment and development of key engineering talent.

• Collaborate intimately with Product, Backend, and Design teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering leadership, including oversight of 40+ individuals through Team Leads.

• Demonstrated success in scaling engineering organizations and their delivery processes.

• A robust background in frontend development.

• Experience in developing engineers and tech leads, including mentoring, performance management, and growth planning.

• Knowledge of complex frontend architectures.

• Experience with high-load web applications.

• Proficiency in Russian is essential for effective daily collaboration within the engineering team.
