Head of Frontend Development – iGaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Assume complete architectural responsibility for the current frontend ecosystem across various B2C casino brands.

• Spearhead the greenfield frontend development of a new, scalable, and high-performance B2B casino platform.

• Ensure that existing B2C brands remain state-of-the-art, secure, and exceptionally fast while the B2B platform is developed.

• Lead architectural decisions, establish best practices, and conduct thorough code reviews.

• Mentor, manage, and motivate a distributed remote team of 20–25 frontend engineers, including Team Leads and Senior Developers.

• Cultivate a culture of accountability, high performance, continuous learning, and psychological safety.

• Advocate for the integration of AI technologies.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend, and DevOps teams to transform complex business requirements into streamlined, real-time user experiences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Outstanding expertise in JavaScript, React, and contemporary cloud infrastructure (AWS).

• Experience with Sveltekit is a significant advantage!

• Proven track record of successfully managing remote frontend teams of 20–25 engineers, ideally through leads.

• Capability to optimize React applications for low-latency, real-time data updates, and high traffic volumes.

• Strong knowledge of how frontend applications are deployed and scaled within an AWS ecosystem (CloudFront, S3, CI/CD pipelines, etc.).

• Previous experience in the iGaming/Casino industry is a considerable plus.

• Ability to maintain alignment, motivation, and effective communication among a large, distributed team across various time zones.
