Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with both internal and external departments to ensure effective budget management, oversight, and reporting;

• Monitor KPIs and provide actionable management reporting;

• Develop annual investment strategies and continuous financial forecasts;

• Conduct monthly financial variance analyses and communicate performance outcomes;

• Oversee financial operations using QuickBooks, including cost centers, reconciliations, and financial reporting;

• Partner with external accountants and auditors to guarantee accurate financial statements;

• Coordinate with external consultants and key stakeholders on applying for and managing public incentives, including PT2030.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline;

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or similar roles;

• Demonstrated ability to lead a finance department, promoting collaboration and accountability with external partners (e.g., accounting firms);

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Portuguese and English;

• Strong grasp of financial principles, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis;

• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail;

• Proficiency in Spanish is an advantage;

• Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CIMA) are considered a plus.
