This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the Head of Finance for a collection of eCommerce businesses, delivering strategic financial leadership.
• Assist clients in comprehending, analyzing, and enhancing their financial performance, with an emphasis on growth and profitability.
• Create financial playbooks, strategies, and insights specifically designed for eCommerce brands.
• Collaborate with founders and operators to manage funding, cash flow, and investment choices.
• Advise clients on direct-to-consumer (DTC) financial best practices, such as contribution margin optimization, inventory financing, and cash flow forecasting.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario planning tools to aid client decision-making.
• Provide insights on essential eCommerce metrics like customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), payback periods, and breakeven return on ad spend (ROAS).
• Assist in establishing pricing, discounting, and profitability strategies tailored for growing brands.
• Collaborate with clients to implement real-time financial reporting and dashboards, ensuring they have comprehensive visibility into performance.
• Evaluate key financial and operational data to deliver actionable recommendations for growth and efficiency.
• Support clients in monitoring and enhancing profitability across various sales channels (Shopify, Amazon, marketplaces, wholesale, etc.).
• Provide guidance on fundraising strategies, including equity, debt, or alternative financing options.
• Aid brands in working capital planning, encompassing inventory financing and supplier terms negotiation.
• Enhance cash flow strategies to ensure businesses can grow sustainably without facing liquidity challenges.
• Assist clients in implementing automation and financial tools to streamline reporting and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with eClarity’s internal data team to improve financial insights and dashboards for clients.
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years in a finance leadership position, ideally with eCommerce, SaaS, or DTC brands.
• Profound understanding of eCommerce financials, including customer acquisition costs, LTV modeling, and contribution margins.
• Capability to convey complex financial insights clearly and actionably to founders and operators.
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and providing strategic advisory for growth-stage companies.
• A strong commercial acumen—you recognize what drives profitability and scalability in an eCommerce business.
• Ability to work autonomously and act as a trusted finance partner to multiple clients.
