Head of Finance

📋 Description

• **About the Role: Your Core Focus**

• **You will take charge of the entire finance function, establishing scalable systems, managing cash flow, enhancing profitability, and guiding the financial strategy to propel Hadley Designs into its next phase of growth.

• What You’ll Do

• - Provide precise, audit-ready financial reports by the 20th of each month with complete account reconciliation and no material errors.

• - Create and uphold a 12-month rolling cash forecast, updated weekly, ensuring optimal liquidity and transparency.

• - Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all departments, achieving a variance of ≤10% between forecasted and actual results.

• - Develop automated systems and workflows that decrease manual reporting time by at least 25% within your first year.

• - Collaborate with leadership to execute initiatives that boost profitability and enhance EBITDA by 2 percentage points in your initial 12 months.

• - Generate and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for closing, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes.

• - Introduce new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6.

• - Create insightful financial dashboards and KPIs that promote improved decision-making.

• - Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations to synchronize growth, cash flow, and inventory planning.

• - Assess technology solutions (ERP, reporting tools) that prepare the company for scaling.

⛳️ Requirements

• **You bring:**

• - A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA is highly preferred).

• - Over 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• - Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

• - Experience in implementing scalable systems and automation in expanding organizations.

• - In-depth knowledge of GAAP, compliance, and tax regulations.

• - Proficient in tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.

• - Exceptional analytical and communication skills; capable of simplifying complex issues.

• - Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel retail is preferred.

• - A collaborative mindset with the confidence to influence decisions at the executive level.
