Head of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as Bolt’s inaugural full-time finance leader, collaborating closely with the COO

• Develop and manage FP&A and board-level reporting procedures

• Oversee quote-to-cash, deal desk, procurement, and sales compensation workflows

• Collaborate with Product and Growth teams on pricing and packaging strategies

• Conduct monthly and quarterly financial closes, consolidations, and reconciliations

• Provide investor and board reports detailing ARR, NRR, retention, and cash metrics

• Set quarterly team budgets and facilitate rolling forecasts and unit economic assessments

• Track planned versus actual performance across the entire P&L

• Draft ASC 606 policies, evaluate deals and terms, and ensure control evidence is maintained

• Assist with external audits and readiness for SOC 2 compliance

• Define and manage order flows, invoicing, collections, cash application, and credit risk processes

• Minimize DSO and exceptions across Rillet, Stripe, Snowflake, and HubSpot

• Design, test, and evaluate monetization strategies alongside Product and GTM

• Manage sales-assisted deal guidelines and discount policies

• Lead non-standard approval processes in collaboration with Product, GTM, and Legal

• Develop AI agents to streamline repetitive finance tasks

• Collaborate across departments as a vital partner in Bolt’s expansion

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in SaaS finance/accounting with comprehensive quote-to-cash and revenue recognition management

• Proven track record in establishing or managing Deal Desk and sales compensation initiatives

• Excellent skills in process and policy documentation

• Capability to work effectively across Product and GTM teams

• Proven success in enhancing close times, forecasting accuracy, and DSO

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential

• CPA certification preferred, but not mandatory

• Experience with PLG monetization trials

• Knowledge of SOC 2 audit procedures and evidence management

• Practical experience integrating ERP, billing, data, and CRM systems

• A college degree is not necessary
