Head of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction across all engineering functions.

• Guide multidisciplinary engineering teams encompassing hardware, software, systems, and product development.

• Formulate and implement the regional engineering strategy in line with business goals.

• Propel the shift from outdated infrastructure to scalable, AI-driven technological solutions.

• Collaborate closely with SWARCO's global teams to synchronize standards, architecture, and product development efforts.

• Spearhead Agile transformation and integrate contemporary engineering methodologies.

• Establish comprehensive engineering governance, estimation frameworks, and performance KPIs.

• Oversee engineering budgets, resource allocation, and long-term capability enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional Engineering certification or membership in a recognized Engineering Institution.

• Extensive experience in senior engineering leadership roles.

• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Strong comprehension of modern software-enabled infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, and systems integration.

• Experience in establishing engineering governance, standards, and best practices.

• Strong commercial insight with experience in supporting customer proposals and technical bids.

• Excellent skills in stakeholder management.
