Head of Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take ownership and steer the product and engineering roadmap from the planning stage through to execution.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team, ensuring accountability, productivity, and high performance.

• Serve as the main point of contact between the CEO/Founder, Product Designer, and Engineering team.

• Convert business objectives into clear product and engineering priorities.

• Supervise project timelines, sprint planning, resource distribution, and delivery milestones.

• Influence product decisions and assist in shaping the overall product strategy.

• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, code quality, scalability, and technical excellence.

• Take responsibility for project outcomes and proactively identify risks and solutions.

• Contribute to coding, architecture, and technical implementation as needed.

• Promote a culture of accountability, communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Significant experience in managing and leading engineering teams in a senior leadership role.

• Proven track record in owning product roadmaps, project planning, and cross-functional execution.

• Strong background in startup and/or fast-paced e-commerce settings.

• Demonstrated capability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement.

• Highly organized, accountable, and dedicated to meeting deadlines.

• Strong product mindset with the ability to prioritize features based on business impact.

• Experience collaborating closely with CEOs, founders, designers, and engineering teams.

• Openness to working in a collaborative environment that requires continual adaptation and change.
