Head of Engineering – Ad Management, Retail

📋 Description

• Drive the growth, scaling, and transformation of an engineering organization focused on a significant, high-stakes mission: redesigning these modules into a contemporary, AI-driven architecture.

• Oversee, mentor, and nurture a team of Engineering Managers. Cultivate a high-performance culture characterized by deep psychological safety and ongoing feedback.

• Lead the greenfield redevelopment and platform modernization of our four core modules into a distributed, cloud-native framework.

• Ensure robust architectural governance, making certain that crucial decisions are in alignment with our technology stack while integrating AI capabilities into engineering processes and product functionalities.

• Establish rapid trust across both technical and non-technical spheres, converting intricate engineering roadmaps into clear strategic advantages for commercial stakeholders.

• Harmonize high-level strategic vision with unwavering operational execution, guaranteeing high-quality, predictable outcomes in a dynamic environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of leadership experience, demonstrating a successful history of managing and developing Engineering Managers, beyond just individual contributors.

• More than 10 years of overall experience in software engineering, with a strong understanding of distributed systems and contemporary cloud architecture (AWS).

• Practical experience or significant technical knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, React, and GraphQL.

• Outstanding interpersonal abilities with a proven capacity to quickly build trust with cross-functional colleagues and commercial leaders.
