Head of EA Infrastructure Fund

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Oversee high-quality grantmaking, provide strategic leadership for the fund, and engage in fundraising activities.

• Actively source high-impact opportunities and make grants while working to enhance the fund's capacity over time.

• Lead a revised version of CEA's Community Building Grants program, ensuring it effectively supports strong EA community builders globally.

• Formulate a compelling strategy for EAIF’s focus areas, types of grants, and its role within the funding ecosystem.

• Represent EAIF and the Community Building Grants program to the EA community and external stakeholders.

• Collaborate with other CEA teams (e.g., EA Funds leadership, incoming fundraising staff, and the Marketing and Communications team) to expand EAIF's donor base.

• A genuine commitment to EA principles, including careful reasoning about impact, adaptability based on strong reasoning and evidence, and a dedication to maximizing good.

• Familiarity with the EA community, including key organizations, significant debates, and dynamics, along with well-reasoned perspectives on optimal support strategies.

• An entrepreneurial mindset, characterized by the drive to shape the strategic direction of a fund, build ambitious initiatives, and adapt to evolving landscapes.

• Excellent social and communication skills, with the ability to professionally represent EAIF, EA Funds, and CEA, create networks, and engage in a variety of discussions with grantees, donors, and community members.

• Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities.

• Proficient written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex reasoning and build trust with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong people and project management abilities.

• Experience in grantmaking, philanthropic leadership, or related fields.

• A proven track record of developing and scaling products or programs.

• Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets.

• A history of leading successful fundraising efforts.
