Head of Design – Sector Moda, Denim

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design of seasonal collections, with a particular emphasis on denim (including washes, treatments, silhouettes, and technical construction).

• Research and interpret global fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and lifestyle elements into collection proposals tailored to each market.

• Establish foundations, silhouettes, fabrics, washes, and technical specifics in collaboration with suppliers and manufacturing partners.

• Utilize artificial intelligence tools and design technology to improve and enrich the creative process.

• Create technical sheets and detailed specifications for production, ensuring alignment between the design and the finished product.

• Lead and mentor the design team.

• Work closely with Purchasing to choose fabrics, raw materials, and accessories that adhere to budget and collection timelines.

• Collaborate with Marketing and Content teams on the visual storytelling of each collection.

• Evaluate product performance to inform adjustments for upcoming collections.

• Oversee the sampling process and technical approval of prototypes until final confirmation.

• Keep a current archive of trends, references, and historical collection developments.

• Advocate for the brand's creative vision at trade shows, showrooms, and key meetings with suppliers.

• Partner with Purchasing and Sales to outline the annual product plan by category and market.

• Present the creative and trend proposals to the Executive Committee, along with updates on collection progress.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in fashion design, preferably with a focus or significant exposure to denim.

• Strong portfolio showcasing creativity, technical expertise, and sensitivity to trends.

• A modern, innovative, and inquisitive profile, with a genuine interest in the convergence of fashion, technology, and artificial intelligence.

• Experience in leading design teams or creative departments.

• Technical understanding of garment construction, washing processes, and textile treatments.

• Proficient in digital design tools (such as Illustrator, Photoshop, CLO 3D, or others) and open to generative AI design tools.

• Capability to translate trends and market insights into commercially viable collections.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and collaborative skills with Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing teams.

• Willingness to travel to trade shows, showrooms, and international suppliers.
