Head of Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, guide, and mentor a high-performing team of product designers, advocating for their contributions throughout the organization.

• Establish the KPIs that demonstrate your team's alignment with company-wide OKRs, and ensure delivery against these metrics.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to implement solutions that provide significant value to our customers.

• Advance Aurora's design operations by incorporating successful industry practices, exploring and adopting impactful changes, particularly those influenced by the latest AI advancements.

• Embed research into our processes to ensure we are consistently testing, learning, and understanding actual user needs.

• Define and lead the design processes, tools, and infrastructure that facilitate successful agile product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years in product design, user experience design, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in building design teams and fostering cultures that deliver technical SaaS products. You are driven by the desire to cultivate the next generation of design leaders, demonstrating excellence and guiding them through increasingly complex challenges.

• Outstanding communication skills with a proven history of clarifying complex subjects for cross-functional partners.

• Proven ability to articulate a product vision, achieve consensus on it, and convey it effectively to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives.

• Extensive experience delivering complex tools, design systems, and multi-role products across web, iOS, and/or Android platforms.
