Head of Data Feeds

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of ARR growth, retention, profitability, and overall financial performance.

• Convert strategy into a long-term business plan that includes targets, assumptions, resource needs, and risks.

• Create the business scorecard and provide leadership with insights into performance, trajectory, and necessary decisions.

• Identify target markets, buyer segments, systematic workflows, and competitive strategies.

• Organize transaction data, B2B information, Quant products, and other data feeds into a cohesive portfolio.

• Discover opportunities to transform existing data into new products, use cases, and revenue streams.

• Distribute investment across the portfolio and determine where to scale, maintain, pivot, or cease operations.

• Define the portfolio proposition and oversee packaging, pricing, bundling, and entitlements.

• Collaborate with Revenue and Client Strategy on sales, trials, onboarding, adoption, retention, and service initiatives.

• Foster relationships with quantitative researchers, data scientists, portfolio managers, and advanced data buyers.

• Set up operating rhythms, decision-making rights, accountability, and cross-functional alignment.

• Develop the leadership structure, talent, and organizational capabilities necessary for growth.

• Establish requirements for data integrity, coverage, identities, lineage, joinability, and delivery reliability.

• Design distribution across feeds, APIs, MCPs, agents, cloud platforms, notebooks, marketplaces, and integrations.

• Utilize AI and automation for dataset evaluation, quality assurance, documentation, signal testing, support, and implementation.

• Predict changes in systematic and agentic investor workflows and convert them into business and product prospects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior leadership experience in building or scaling a data, financial technology, information services, analytics, or enterprise software business.

• Direct responsibility for a P&L or business line, encompassing revenue performance, long-term planning, resource distribution, and investment choices.

• A track record of transforming individual products or unique data assets into a cohesive, repeatable commercial business.

• Strong judgment regarding markets and portfolios.

• Experience in developing pricing, packaging, go-to-market strategies, onboarding, and service models for sophisticated enterprise or technical clients.

• Ability to cultivate strong client relationships and translate market evidence into clear business and product decisions.

• Experience leading within a matrixed organization, establishing decision-making rights, aligning functional leaders, and fostering execution discipline.

• Technical proficiency in data quality, methodologies, schemas, APIs, infrastructure, and delivery reliability.

• Ability to build teams, nurture leaders, and create scalable organizations.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

• Preferred: experience working with quantitative investors, systematic funds, data scientists, or other technical investment professionals.

• Preferred: background in alternative data, market data, financial information services, or investment research products.

• Preferred: understanding of systematic data requirements such as point-in-time integrity, backtesting, identity mapping, schema stability, lineage, and reproducibility.

• Preferred: experience in commercializing data through feeds, APIs, cloud platforms, MCPs, marketplaces, third-party integrations, or agentic interfaces.

• Preferred: experience in evaluating, sourcing, licensing, or managing third-party data partnerships.

• Preferred: experience using AI and automation to enhance data product development, quality, evaluation, or client delivery.
