This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Design and execute platform-specific strategies to enhance social referrals, engagement, and monetization across consumer social platforms.
• Spearhead social video strategy and growth initiatives across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
• Take ownership of social campaigns aimed at promoting Newsweek's original series, subscriptions, and new products and offerings.
• Collaborate with Editorial, Audience, and Product teams to implement cross-functional projects that enhance newsroom efficiency, digital visibility, and user engagement.
• Monitor and analyze social media performance, proactively identifying opportunities to boost engagement and platform referrals.
• Develop and engage in A/B testing initiatives, incorporating findings into future posts and social media strategies.
• Assist in fostering community engagement and amplifying content.
• Work in conjunction with the video/multimedia team and the VP of Growth Markets to devise monetization strategies and drive new revenue growth.
• Promote YouTube content across other social media channels and support influencer-led audience growth aligned with newsroom strategy.
• Oversee the social team’s direct reports, including performance management, coaching and development, workload prioritization, and daily oversight.
• Perform any other reasonable duties necessary to meet business needs.
• Proven experience in managing social media platforms effectively, creating consumer engagement strategies, and monetization within a global newsroom.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of professionally representing the brand across all channels.
• Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing social media metrics and reporting on campaign effectiveness to guide future activities.
• Knowledge of relevant UK data protection and advertising regulations, ensuring all content is compliant and ethically produced.
• Ability to inspire and lead a team, promoting creativity and collaboration to drive innovative social campaigns.
• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines under pressure.
• This is a full-time position, with working hours from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
• You will have the option to work from home, anywhere in the UK, or from our office at Canary Wharf, London.
