Head of Accounting Policy – Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and uphold accounting policies in alignment with US GAAP, incorporating continuous evaluation of FASB and SEC updates.

• Supervise the preparation and review of financial statements while ensuring a robust internal control framework for financial reporting.

• Examine and document the accounting ramifications of intricate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, new product launches, and strategic initiatives.

• Collaborate across functions with Finance, Product, Legal, and external auditors to guarantee precise and timely reporting results.

• Spearhead modernization initiatives across reporting processes, systems, and controls to enhance scalability and efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of accounting experience in financial services, fintech, or a rapidly growing technology setting.

• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, technical accounting research, and financial reporting standards.

• Proven experience in assessing complex transactions and converting accounting regulations into actionable business insights.

• Demonstrated capability to establish and refine internal controls and reporting processes within a scaling organization.

• Strong stakeholder management abilities, with experience engaging with auditors, regulators, and executive leadership.
