This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Project Management & Leadership: Independent execution and management of accounting and back-office projects.
• Accounting & Financial Statements: Autonomous handling of ongoing bookkeeping as well as the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.
• Interim Leadership Roles: Taking on senior interim positions (e.g., Team Lead or Head of Accounting) for our clients.
• Optimization & Automation: Identifying and implementing efficient processes for ongoing bookkeeping and financial statements, along with selecting and introducing suitable finance and ERP tools.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaboration with tax advisors, auditors, CFOs, and financial authorities.
• Client-Specific Special Topics: Work according to IFRS, intercompany settlements, and consolidation, local GAAP...
• Project-Based Collaboration with Clients: Primarily remote, but on-site work may be required as needed.
• Several years of relevant experience, including leadership responsibilities, preferably in a medium-sized company, a start-up, or consulting.
• Excellent knowledge of HGB is a must. Basic understanding of IFRS/other GAAP and consolidation is a nice-to-have.
• Professional development as a certified accountant or comparable qualifications are advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in at least one accounting or ERP system (e.g., DATEV Rechnungswesen, SAP, or Business Central) and experience with various modern finance tools (e.g., Spendesk, Pleo, Circula...).
• Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills, a strong affinity for numbers, and an eye for optimization potential.
• Good communication skills in German (at least C1) and English (at least B2).
• Enjoyment in team leadership, coaching, project management, and the development of employees.
• An eagerness for diverse project work and a desire to support clients remotely or, on a limited basis, on-site.
