This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Total Rewards team by establishing clear priorities, quality benchmarks, and professional development plans.
• Distribute tasks among team members to achieve a balance between operational tasks (salary reviews, benchmarking, job evaluations, benefits management) and strategic initiatives.
• Review and ensure the quality of key outputs: recommendations for salary reviews, benchmarking analyses, job evaluation decisions, and changes to the benefits program before they are presented to senior stakeholders.
• Create a cohesive and consistent Total Rewards practice that integrates decisions across Total Rewards rather than treating them in isolation.
• Offer thought leadership on Total Rewards issues to the WWF Network.
• Track external market trends and internal workforce requirements, advising the Senior Director, People & Culture on strategic adjustments.
• Manage the annual salary budgeting and salary review process for WWF International, ensuring governance, adherence to timelines, and quality recommendations.
• Lead external benchmarking initiatives, including executive benchmarking and participation in market surveys for the Secretariat and Country Offices.
• Present annual salary review recommendations to the Senior Director, People & Culture, and facilitate engagement with the Executive Team and pertinent Board committees on these topics.
• Oversee the organization's job evaluation methodology and system, establishing standards and policies to guarantee equity, consistency, and global compliance.
• Act as the final escalation point for complex job evaluation and grading decisions, ensuring the consistent application of the job evaluation framework.
• Define the strategic direction for WWF International's global benefits programs while providing direct, hands-on technical guidance to the Senior Specialist, Global Benefits.
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, finance, or a related discipline; a master's degree is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in leading global Total Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, or Reward functions within complex multinational organizations.
• Professional certification in HR or Rewards (e.g., GRP, CCP, or equivalent) is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of, and some experience with, international mobility from a compensation and benefits viewpoint.
• Familiarity with job evaluation methodologies (e.g., Mercer IPE, Korn Ferry Hay, Willis Towers Watson).
• Capability to utilize HR technology and analytics platforms to enhance reward governance, reporting, and employee experience.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
