Hardware Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary leader for the hardware engineering department, coordinating activities across R&D, legacy hardware operations, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional collaborators.

• Provide executive oversight and take responsibility for the complete lifecycle of all hardware products.

• Supervise the lifecycle for IoT innovations as well as core legacy systems.

• Own the long-term vision for hardware, including platform decisions, multi-year roadmaps, and prioritization of investments.

• Drive the development of next-generation edge computing and AI-driven hardware platforms.

• Be accountable for the overall procurement strategy, scaling operations, global logistics, and managing key vendor/OEM partnerships.

• Ensure rigorous standards throughout the hardware ecosystem by overseeing documentation, revision tracking, testing matrices, certification, and compliance.

• Collaborate directly with dedicated domain experts across R&D/IoT to achieve shared objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Manager overseeing hardware engineering, hardware product management, or hardware operations teams.

• Extensive knowledge in end-to-end hardware lifecycle management, encompassing sourcing, testing and R&D, mass scaling, RMAs, and end-of-life processes.

• Strong strategic mindset with experience in defining multi-year hardware roadmaps and leading procurement/vendor strategies.

• Familiarity with Edge Computing, IoT devices, POS systems, and AI-driven hardware architectures.

• Exceptional cross-functional leadership abilities, capable of driving accountability across a matrixed organization and translating complex technical requirements into actionable operational plans.
