This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize specialized clinical expertise to assist hospital partners: categorize, code, summarize, interpret, and compute registry/case information from intricate patient medical records.

• Guarantee the quality submission of all data into designated registries or measure data repositories, upholding a high accuracy standard.

• Prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines for various simultaneous tasks and team requests; employs tact and judgment to manage expectations, highlight obstacles, and propose timely solutions.

• Navigate new technical systems: electronic medical records (EMR) and registry/case entry tools; leverage team resources to troubleshoot technical challenges with systems and applications with a focus on solutions.

• Contribute to team best practices, data dictionaries, abstraction guidelines, and other business rule documents; identifies opportunities for process improvements to enhance task and process efficiency.

• Stay informed about mandated regulatory/publicly reported data requirements as specified by federal, state, payer, and other agencies.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of one direct abstraction experience in the Get With the Guidelines Stroke registry.

• Familiarity with multiple patient medical record systems (EMRs) and clinical databases.

• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint).

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to systematically approach problems.

• Exhibits high standards for accuracy and attention to detail.

• Demonstrates technical proficiency and a strong eagerness to learn new systems and technologies.

• Excels in working independently and takes ownership of projects/patient records.

• Consistently communicates clearly, adjusting style and tone as necessary to effectively collaborate with hospital partners, peers, team leads, and others.

• Exhibits strong self-organization and time management skills to concurrently handle multiple accounts, adapting as needed to changing timelines and priorities.

• Capable of adapting to changes in hospital partner timelines, requirements, and project assignments.

• Maintains a high level of responsibility in ensuring PHI security and confidentiality.
