gRPC / API Engineer, Kubernetes Provisioning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the API layer that integrates the Kubernetes lifecycle platform with the broader business.

• Develop gRPC and REST APIs for provisioning and deprovisioning of seats/workspaces, managing cluster inventory, and monitoring node health.

• Design idempotent provisioning processes that establish Kubernetes namespaces, quotas, and policy objects.

• Create mock servers and client SDKs for dependent teams to utilize prior to the complete platform launch.

• Execute API validation, error modeling, retry semantics, load testing, and contract testing.

• Conduct integration tests on live Kubernetes clusters and associated downstream systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Go backend development with experience in gRPC, protobuf, REST, and API design.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes API components: namespaces, ResourceQuota, RBAC, NetworkPolicy, admission flows, or multi-tenant cluster architecture.

• Knowledge of idempotency, concurrency, retries, partial failures, and contract testing.

• Strong emphasis on testing methodologies, including mocks, generated clients, integration tests, and load testing.

• Capability to provide clear API documentation for other engineering teams.
