This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Create and refine landing pages, onboarding sequences, and essential funnel interactions (including paywall moments).
• Manage the entire process: outline the journey, draft and enhance copy, ensuring a seamless experience.
• Transform ambiguous goals (“improve activation”, “boost paywall conversion”) into specific hypotheses and rapid experiments.
• Collaborate with the acquisition PM and engineers to execute swift cycles: build, release, learn, and iterate.
• Leverage data (Amplitude, A/B tests, funnel drop-offs, CPA, conversion rates) to prioritize upcoming tests and assess changes.
• Develop variations tailored for different channels and search intent clusters, continuously elevating visual quality.
• Communicate effectively with the team: document edge cases, define states, and prepare engineering for swift progress without compromising quality.
• Bring valuable references, a refined aesthetic, and a practical “let’s ship it” attitude to enhance design culture.
• Exceptional visual/UI skills and a keen eye for layout and refinement (Figma components, auto-layout, typography, spacing, and all intricate details).
• A conversion-focused mindset: you are invested in the post-launch impact and thrive on experimentation and rapid feedback.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks from start to finish, with significant autonomy in a lightweight, asynchronous environment.
• Strong product insight: capable of zooming out to view the journey and zooming in on specific decisions that influence conversion.
• Excellent writing and communication skills. You’ll be responsible for crafting copy, articulating decisions, and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration.
• Effective collaboration with PMs and engineers in a “ship → learn → iterate” framework.
• A sense of taste and moderation: you can elevate a simple UI to a premium experience through typography, layout, and interaction nuances.
• A results-oriented approach: you relate design choices to funnel metrics and business outcomes.
• Proficient in using AI as an efficiency tool (LLMs for ideation/research, rapid prototyping, rather than prolonged refinement in Figma).
• Unlimited PTO
• Growth support: Variant Group covers educational expenses (courses, books, software, subscriptions, conferences).
• Flexibility to enhance both UI and copy, while implementing your own processes as long as they yield results.
• A data-rich environment with quick feedback loops: utilizing Amplitude, A/B tests, and the chance to validate concepts through real user interactions.
• A dedicated acquisition context (PM + engineers), ensuring your work remains agile without getting bogged down in prolonged cycles or approvals.
• A remote-first global team with a relaxed culture (no micromanagement, no crunch time, minimal meetings).
