📋 Description

• Treat demand as a product you are developing. Establish what you are optimizing, identify the leading indicators, and outline the experiments queue. Operate this function similarly to how an effective Product Manager manages a product surface - formulating hypotheses, implementing instrumentation, shipping on a weekly basis, and conducting postmortems on unsuccessful initiatives.

• Identify the channels worth investing in, develop them, and refine your approach. While we may not have a limitless budget, this is an opportunity where intelligence can supersede financial resources. Close possesses the essential elements to succeed; we offer a product that customers adore, valuable content to share, and an organization that is already significantly AI-driven. For the right candidate, this is all the fuel you need.

• Take ownership of top-of-funnel traffic and pay attention to subsequent outcomes. Your key metric is attracting more of the appropriate audience to Close's website and product. "The right audience" refers to those who convert into trials and ultimately become paying customers. You will collaborate with the Product Growth team to facilitate a seamless and effective transition from the website to the product.

• Conduct the experiments. This includes selecting channels, crafting ad copy, designing landing pages, producing videos, engaging on social media, forming partnerships, and creating product-led loops. You will be responsible for setting up these experiments, monitoring the data, and disseminating the insights gained.

• Demonstrate that it’s effective. Increased traffic. Rise in trials. Growth in paid subscribers. You will prepare reports to highlight what is functioning well and what is not.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possess 5-8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS growth, marketing, or as a founder. You have undertaken similar responsibilities at a company resembling Close - with a beloved product, a streamlined team, or a market where attention must be earned. Bonus points if you were involved early on and contributed to developing the growth strategy before any formal playbook existed!

• Proficient in AI. You utilize AI tools to automate various aspects of your workflow. You can articulate which models or tools are suitable (or unsuitable!) for different types of challenges. You can showcase the workflows you have implemented or the issues currently being addressed. The methods you employ today would not have been feasible two years ago, and your approach will undoubtedly evolve in the coming months.

• Passionate about organic growth and the evolving nature of discovery. You hold strong views on what SEO entails in an era where individuals search using ChatGPT and Claude. You have contemplated LLM optimization and have experimented with video, social media, or community-driven distribution beyond just search and paid advertising.

• A comprehensive thinker. You maintain a sharp focus on CAC, LTV, and payback periods. You have insights on how channel strategy integrates with landing page experiences and perceive the website as a cohesive system, balancing acquisition with product engagement.

• A proactive operator with a builder's mindset. You have initiated something - be it a company, a side project, or a venture you managed for several years. Whether you achieved success or faced significant failures is irrelevant. What matters is that you took accountability for the outcomes and apply that same sense of ownership to every endeavor you have pursued since.
