This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
β’ Ensure that Council meetings utilize a smooth, consensus-driven decision-making approach.
β’ Collaborate with the Council Chair to strategize meeting plans and structure agendas.
β’ Offer assistance for full Council meetings and workshops.
β’ Work alongside the Administrative Assistant to deliver meeting support.
β’ Facilitate consensus-oriented decision-making during meetings and conference calls.
β’ Draft and circulate meeting summaries and Executive Summaries.
β’ Continuous employment in a role with similar responsibilities within the last five years.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and associated tools and technologies.
β’ A minimum of seven years of pertinent experience.
β’ Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
β’ Experience managing diverse interests and contentious matters.
β’ Expertise in facilitating groups of varied stakeholders to achieve consensus decisions.
β’ Certified Professional Facilitator (preferred).
β’ Experience working with tribal, state, and federal stakeholders (preferred).
β’ Understanding of environmental law, particularly the natural resource damage assessment (NRDA) section of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and Department of Interior regulations and guidelines related to NRDA (preferred).
β’ Familiarity with relevant treaties, including the Treaties of 1855.
β’ Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
β’ Must be a United States Citizen.
β’ Remote work opportunity during COVID-19.
