Group Manager, Product Design – Back Office

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Recruit, develop, and guide a high-performing team to implement our product vision and strategy with measurable business results.

• Oversee design initiatives of substantial scope encompassing vision, strategy, and execution.

• Establish streamlined standards and processes that optimize quality, capability, and speed.

• Contribute to product strategies and roadmaps aligned with company goals.

• Utilize AI tools proficiently — from rapid prototyping and generative exploration to delivering faster, higher-quality outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with teams in the US and across various time zones, demonstrating strong asynchronous communication and a cooperative, low-ego work style.

• Cultivate relationships across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data Science to create cohesive and inclusive user experiences.

• Manage key UX deliverables — including user journeys, personas, UX metrics, and more.

• Promote accessibility through inclusive design practices, awareness, and innovation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in a SaaS or enterprise setting.

• Proven experience leading and managing a design team of 3 to 10 individuals or multiple teams.

• Practical knowledge of AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma Make, Claude, Cursor, or similar) and a desire to continually enhance your skills as the tools evolve.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality design outputs at scale, evaluated through both quantitative and qualitative measures.

• A strong mentor and leader — straightforward with feedback, committed to your team's development, and capable of nurturing a healthy design culture throughout the organization.

• Excellent communicator and collaborator across multidisciplinary, globally distributed teams, adept at managing expectations of senior stakeholders.
