Group IT Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Oversee the global governance, delivery, and optimization of the organization’s IT platforms and services.

• Take ownership of the global Azure environment, ensuring its performance, scalability, security, resilience, and cost optimization.

• Lead the Azure Virtual Desktop initiative globally, focusing on architecture, operational standards, scaling, performance, and user experience.

• Define and enforce standards across Microsoft 365, Azure services, and core cloud platforms.

• Manage IT services across all global offices to ensure a consistent digital workplace experience.

• Oversee global endpoint management through Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.

• Manage Entra ID operations, encompassing identity lifecycle, access control, governance, and access reviews.

• Supervise global processes for joiners, movers, and leavers.

• Govern security controls across core IT platforms and support major security incidents.

• Develop a global disaster recovery and resilience strategy for cloud and IT services.

• Establish global connectivity standards and supervise secure network design and providers.

• Manage IT governance frameworks, policies, and standards at a global level.

• Cultivate strategic vendor relationships.

• Lead a federated global IT operating model involving both central and regional teams.

• Provide technical direction and governance to regional IT teams across various jurisdictions.

• Drive global IT initiatives from strategy formulation to operational adoption.

• Translate business requirements into a comprehensive global IT strategy and roadmap.

• Promote standardization, automation, optimization, and simplification of IT services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience within Microsoft Azure environments, including governance, security, networking, cost management, and resilience.

• Enterprise-level experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), focusing on scaling, performance, and user experience optimization.

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and modern endpoint management practices.

• Strong expertise in Entra ID, identity governance, Conditional Access, MFA, Zero Trust, and least privilege models.

• Experience managing Microsoft 365 at an enterprise scale.

• Comprehensive understanding of cloud networking, VPN, WiFi, secure access, and hybrid connectivity.

• Experience with cloud disaster recovery, resilience, and business continuity frameworks.

• Background operating within multi-region or global IT environments.

• Experience in regulated environments with audit, risk, compliance, and client assurance requirements.

• Familiarity with ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, DORA, and cybersecurity control frameworks.

• Minimum of 10 years’ IT experience, including operational and leadership responsibilities.
