This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Take charge of the integrity and audit quality of the financials. You will be responsible for the company's accounting integrity, ensuring that financial reporting is accurate, compliant, and defensible across all entities, collaborating with the accounting team that handles the day-to-day close and statements.
• Manage multi-entity consolidation and the controls surrounding the close. You will oversee a clean, accurate multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation and the control framework that supports the monthly close, ensuring that the numbers are reliable and audit-ready.
• Enhance audit preparedness. You will document internal controls, implement defensible revenue recognition, and prepare the company to confidently undergo an external audit.
• Lead the ERP migration. You will spearhead the design of the QuickBooks-to-NetSuite (or equivalent) migration, establishing a more mature, audit-ready finance infrastructure, in collaboration with the accounting team and NetSuite consultants during execution.
• Develop the control environment. You will establish the accounting policies, internal controls, and process documentation necessary for a scaling, internationally distributed business.
• Oversee compliance, transfer pricing, and IP. You will be responsible for multi-jurisdiction statutory compliance and international tax, leading transfer pricing efforts and tracking IP flows across entities within the group's structure, in close collaboration with external advisors.
• Manage key external relationships. You will maintain relationships with the company's banks, CPA firm, auditors, and core finance and accounting vendors, including handling bank communications and reporting.
• Lead a streamlined controllership team. You will develop the dedicated support needed for this function to ensure that controls, compliance, and consolidation can scale with the business.
• Senior-level experience in a B2B SaaS or similar technology company. You have either built or significantly improved an accounting function, rather than just maintaining a mature one.
• Audit background and qualifications. You have a Big Four (or equivalent) background with approximately 10+ years in audit and controls, and hold an ACCA (preferred) or CPA qualification. You have either prepared for or managed an external audit of consolidated entities, fully understanding what it means to be audit-ready in practice.
• Experience with ERP migration. You have led or played a pivotal role in a finance systems upgrade, understanding the steps necessary to transition from a growing company to one with audit-grade maturity.
• Proficiency in multi-currency and international finance. Managing financial records across various countries, entities, and currencies comes naturally to you. European experience is a significant advantage (VAT, local statutory regimes), and you are comfortable with international tax, transfer pricing, multi-jurisdiction compliance, and bridging GAAP and IFRS.
• Responsibility for a control environment. You have developed the controls, documentation, and consolidation discipline required for a reliable close.
• A modern, technology-oriented mindset. You thrive in an async-first, globally distributed environment where Slack and clear written communication are the norms.
• 22 days of paid time off, in addition to your local national holidays.
• Flexible work hours and a culture that empowers you to manage your time effectively.
• Private medical insurance or a medical allowance based on your location.
• Extended paid sick leave, allowing you to fully recover without concern.
• Investment in AI. We place a strong emphasis on AI, providing you with opportunities to develop skills that will be valuable for the next decade of your career, not just in this role.
• A quarterly learning budget for courses, books, or any resources that support your professional growth.
• A quarterly wellbeing budget that can be used for sports, therapy, or even a good read.
• A quarterly co-working budget enabling you to work from locations that suit you best.
• Top-notch hardware for your work (team Apple).
• A transparent, flexible culture that prioritizes people in everything we do.
