Green Team Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and ensures prompt and effective resolution of any issues discovered during inspections.

• Executes thorough inspections, diagnoses, and moderately complex repairs on assigned vehicles and equipment.

• Offers support, guidance, and direction to fellow maintenance staff.

• Employs vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign necessary repairs.

• Estimates the time and material costs required for repairs and orders new parts as needed.

• Informs the supervisor immediately if additional work is required or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).

• Evaluates the quality of repairs and rebuilds conducted by outside vendors. Assesses structural damage and determines required repairs using the most suitable methods.

• Responds to service calls for emergency breakdowns.

• Performs safety inspections on vehicles and executes maintenance-related tasks as necessary.

• May assume maintenance supervisory responsibilities in the absence of supervision.

• Keeps a clean and safe work environment in accordance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and adheres to established safety procedures while performing all tasks.

• Requires extensive travel (a minimum of 40 - 47 weeks per year).

• Must be able to work night shifts as business needs dictate.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• Over four years of prior experience as a diesel technician.

• Valid driver’s license and CDL license (or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days).

• Three or more ASE Certifications (or equivalent) in the following areas: Brakes (T4 ASE), Drive Train (T3 ASE), Heat/Vent/AC (T3 ASE), Steering Suspension (T5 ASE), Electrical/Electronic (T6 ASE), PMI (T8 ASE), Diesel Engines (T2 ASE), Natural Gas (F1 ASE).

• Must also obtain certifications in Hydraulics (WMI Class), Transmission (WMI Class), and Heavy Equipment (WMI Class) within three (3) weeks of hire.

• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
