This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Conducts preventive maintenance inspections and ensures prompt and effective resolution of any issues discovered during inspections.
β’ Executes thorough inspections, diagnoses, and moderately complex repairs on assigned vehicles and equipment.
β’ Offers support, guidance, and direction to fellow maintenance staff.
β’ Employs vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign necessary repairs.
β’ Estimates the time and material costs required for repairs and orders new parts as needed.
β’ Informs the supervisor immediately if additional work is required or if repairs cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
β’ Evaluates the quality of repairs and rebuilds conducted by outside vendors. Assesses structural damage and determines required repairs using the most suitable methods.
β’ Responds to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
β’ Performs safety inspections on vehicles and executes maintenance-related tasks as necessary.
β’ May assume maintenance supervisory responsibilities in the absence of supervision.
β’ Keeps a clean and safe work environment in accordance with Corporate/OSHA Standards and adheres to established safety procedures while performing all tasks.
β’ Requires extensive travel (a minimum of 40 - 47 weeks per year).
β’ Must be able to work night shifts as business needs dictate.
β’ High School Diploma or G.E.D.
β’ Over four years of prior experience as a diesel technician.
β’ Valid driverβs license and CDL license (or ability to obtain within ninety (90) days).
β’ Three or more ASE Certifications (or equivalent) in the following areas: Brakes (T4 ASE), Drive Train (T3 ASE), Heat/Vent/AC (T3 ASE), Steering Suspension (T5 ASE), Electrical/Electronic (T6 ASE), PMI (T8 ASE), Diesel Engines (T2 ASE), Natural Gas (F1 ASE).
β’ Must also obtain certifications in Hydraulics (WMI Class), Transmission (WMI Class), and Heavy Equipment (WMI Class) within three (3) weeks of hire.
β’ Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.
