Greek VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Professionally answer calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always remain ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields, with training provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report progress to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Greek."

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, but not a requirement.

• Understanding of legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are an advantage (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and the ability to tolerate different cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
