Graphics Driver Software Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and development of graphics drivers utilizing OpenGL and Vulkan for both current and future GPU architectures.

• Involvement in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.

• Work alongside hardware engineering teams to enable and enhance Vulkan functionalities.

• Conduct performance profiling and optimization of graphics drivers to enhance GPU efficiency.

• Assist in integration efforts with clients and external partners during product launch phases.

• Engage in discussions and align on Vulkan API behavior and implementation specifics.

• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and efficient driver code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient command of English, suitable for daily interactions in an international setting.

• Strong skills in C programming with a focus on low-level development.

• Significant experience in GPU driver development or related graphics system software.

• Comprehensive understanding of modern graphics APIs, specifically Vulkan and/or OpenGL.

• Good grasp of computer architecture concepts, including CPU, cache hierarchy, MMU, and memory systems.

• Extensive experience with Linux-based systems.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to function in complex technical environments.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.

• Preferred: Experience adhering to structured coding guidelines.

• Previous involvement in Agile/Scrum development teams.

• Understanding of vector mathematics and concepts related to 3D graphics.

• Experience in performance tuning of graphics pipelines or drivers.
