This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create branding and visual identities for events, encompassing themes, logos, color schemes, and design guidelines.
• Produce digital graphics, event brochures, fact sheets, informational papers, flyers, and social media visuals.
• Generate and update presentation templates, as well as format decks for speakers and leadership presentations.
• Develop graphics for branded event websites, mobile applications, and email marketing campaigns.
• Design and manage event website pages, layouts, and landing pages.
• Ensure web pages are user-friendly, responsive, and compliant with Section 508 and web accessibility standards.
• Create walk-on videos, session openings, and other multimedia content.
• Incorporate captions and accessibility features into videos.
• Design directional signage, registration materials, session signage, digital displays, name tags, and other materials for on-site use.
• Assist with on-site signage modifications during events.
• Create designs for certificates, plaques, trophies, and commemorative items, including layout for engraving and printing.
• Prepare proofs for review and approval by the Government.
• Ensure all design outputs comply with Section 508 requirements, including color contrast, alternative text, and accessible PDF formatting.
• Provide editable source files and organize them for transfer to the designated Government repository.
• Collaborate with the Strategic Communications Specialist and copy editor.
• Assist with editing post-event photography and videography.
• Manage revisions throughout the Government review process and adhere to deadlines for deliverables.
• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a similar field, or an equivalent level of experience.
• A minimum of three years of professional graphic design experience, accompanied by a portfolio showcasing event, print, and digital projects.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with photo and video editing software.
• Understanding of Section 508 accessibility standards and the creation of accessible PDFs.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple projects and revisions within deadlines.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Capable of successfully passing an HHS background investigation.
• No security clearance is required.
• Experience in designing for Federal agencies or large-scale conferences is preferred.
